| Olive Oil & Tapenade The olive oil we carry at L’Ile de France is an Extra Virgin, First Cold Pressing oil. It comes from “Le Mas de la Dame” (“The Woman’s Ranch House”) which is located at the foot of the rocky village of Les Baux de Provence. The mas (house) was painted by Van Gogh in 1899 and has been owned by the same family for four generations. 50 acres of the property are devoted to olive trees cultivated by organic methods and hand harvested. 15 pounds of olives are needed to make one liter. • Olive oil - 1/2 liter bottle Price & item: Olive Oil - $52 We also carry their Tapenade. The Provençal recipe consists of olives pounded with desalted anchovy fillets and capers which are blended with olive oil and lemon juice then seasoned with thyme.
